Kasol Adventure. Must go places when traveling to beautiful kasol.

If you want to enjoy the lush green mountain valleys and beautiful landscapes with deodar trees all around,  Kasol is your answer. Kasol has become one of the most famous tourist destinations in Himachal Pradesh now. Kasol is 30 km from Bhuntar and 3.5 km from Manikaran. Weathers in kasol will be moderate from April to September month. From mid-October gradually winter will start and the temperature will start to drop, leading to snowy winters from December to February or March.

PLACES TO VISIT

Gurudwara Sahib Manikaran

Manikaran is a religious place for Hindus and Sikhs. It has temples as well as Gurudwara Sahib. This place is well known for its hot springs and it’s surrounded by beautiful landscapes. It is such a pure and magical place that my words can’t express it you have to be there to feel the vibes. Within the premises, you would see people cooking rice in hot spring water. It’s really amazing to watch that, There are also separate bath areas for males and females as it’s considered a holy bath. And if you get a chance make sure to have a Gurudwara langar.

Malana Village

Malana is a beautiful small village, famous for Malana cream. To reach Malana village there is a beautiful narrow, trek from Malana town. Trek is about 2km. Which will take around 1hr. Once you reach the village you will have to cross the entire village to reach the 🏕 camping area.

Malana trek is preferred to be done in daylight and it’s for 2 reasons. 1) To witness the breathtaking view of mountain ranges and 2) The pathway to reach camps is narrow and muddy, rains ☔️will make it slippery too. If you plan a night stay at camp in Malana, you can trek anytime during the day. One day trip can also be done, But in that case, it is preferred to start early in the morning. In my recommendation, you should stay there one night to get the real vibes of the place.
The Mountain range visible from Malana are the peaks of the Deo Tibba and Chanderkhani which is the most beautiful view.

Malana is a unique place in terms of its culture and history. Malana is one of the oldest democracies in the world. One rule that you should know before entering this village is “Do not touch anyone or any of their belongings in Malana village”. You can also enjoy the Trek from Malana Village to Waichin Valley and stay in the campsites of Waichin.

Malana is a village so don’t expect much like good/clean toilets or a good bath area. It will be mostly like a temporary setup which seems a bit awkward but you are in mountain villages so good luck. You would hear lots of loud trans music at the campsites and sometimes you can enjoy a bonfire as well. Morning in this place is very serene and peaceful.

There are multiple camps in Malana so you can walk around and explore where would you like to stay.

Tosh

Tosh is another beautiful place that you must go to when traveling to Kasol. Tosh is near Barsheni village for which you can take a bus or cab from the bus stop near Gurudwara Sahib Manikaran. Also if you are planning to go for the Kheerganga trek. Tosh is a great base village to start and end your Kheerganga trek. Below are a few pictures from Tosh.

.

Chalal Village

Chalal village is very small, But it has a few amazing cafes on its trek. Specifically, if you start your trek from Katagla. I went to all different areas in Kasol, But the Chalal village trek was something that I loved the MOST. Mostly because of the landscapes and surroundings. Lush green is almost everywhere. The higher you climb, the more magnificent the view is. Small farms and apple orchards are breathtaking.

Tosh to Kheerganga Trek

If you have time and energy I would say definitely do this trek, Preferred in summer. It’s a very beautiful trek and not to forget about the miraculous view when you reach the top. I could not do this trek due to time constraints but it’s definitely to consider if you are planning to visit kasol.
