I planned for a day trip to Hallstatt, I started early in the morning from Salzburg and returned in the evening to Salzburg for my stay. This way you can of course you can try to save some money. It’s easy to reach Hallstatt via bus or by train so in case you plan to start your day early in the morning this can be an amazing day trip.
