Top 5 Must-visit Places When in Singapore – Exciting Singapore Travel

1. Gardens by the Bay

The Gardens by the Bay is a bigggg nature park containing 1500000 Plants. Located in the Central Region of Singapore, adjacent to the Marina Reservoir.

The park has three waterfront gardens: Bay South Garden (in Marina South), Bay East Garden (in Marina East), and Bay Central Garden (in Downtown Core and Kallang).

The largest garden is Bay South Garden, Its Flower Dome is the largest glass greenhouse in the world.

So I booked tickets online in advance using their website link.  This place is so huge that you will need one full day to completely visit Flower Dome, Cloud Forest, and Super Tree Grove.  Each corner is designed and themed so beautifully that you will be awestruck. The architecture and design for both the dome and Super Tree Grove are astonishing. Visit this link to watch the spectacular night view of Super Tree Grove.

2. Sands SkyPark Singapore

Marina Bay Sands is a resort fronting Marina Bay in Singapore,

Sky Park is located on the 57th floor of Marina Bay Sands Hotel, You will have to take tower 3 for the elevator. Visit to Sky Park is chargeable for the visitors but free for hotel guests. At this height, you will have a 325-degree view of the entire Singapore skyline. Such a Beautiful view from above that you can spend a good amount of time looking around all the different attractions.

There are 2 levels on Skypark, 2nd deck is connected to the bar of the hotel. I visited Skypark late in the afternoon so I stayed there for 2 hours to enjoy the supreme sunset. Also, the views are different during the day and night. Night views are breathtaking too as everything will be lit up and you can have an aerial view of Gardens by the Bay. During the daytime also you will have magnificent views. You can plan to visit around the evening before sunset you can enjoy the Sunset + Daylight view + Night view.

Sky Park is a must-do thing when you visit Singapore. Either you can visit the hotel as a guest or you can book tickets for Skypark entry. Below few pictures from my visit. Another thing is if you are going as a visitor you won’t find much to eat there, a small vendor is serving limited light snacks, coffee, and some drinks so you can plan accordingly.

3. Universal Studios Singapore

Must Must Must…. Visit place.

So it was my 1st visit to any kind of theme park and I loved it. Universal Studios Singapore is a theme-based park situated on Sentosa Island, Singapore. The park is surrounded by a lagoon.

It has multiple rides of different difficulty levels for small kids, teenagers, and adults everyone will have something amusing to try. You will find different themes in different zones like Sci-Fi City, Ancient Egypt, Madagascar, etc.

In addition to multiple rides, it has other Hollywood-themed attractions, entertainment shows, Gift Shops, few restaurants for refreshments. It’s very difficult, to sum up the entire theme park experience in words. I can write a full-length blog on this experience, It’s a world-class park, and I am putting some pictures below from my experience. Please leave your comments below to share your experience as well.

Tickets for Theme Park are also available online on their official website link, Pre-booking is good to avoid standing in queues as it will usually be a crowded place. Also, you can take priority passes/tickets with little extra cost, Which will help you to save time by getting priority entrance almost everywhere. You will not have to wait or stand in queue for your turn.

4. S.E.A Aquarium

The Marine Life Park in Singapore is also one of the famous attractions. There are different areas you can explore here one is the SEA Aquarium and the other is Adventure Cove Water Park. I planned to only visit the SEA aquarium but both places have their equal charm.

SEA Aquarium. This aquarium is home to more than 100,000 marine animals with different species, and a different habitat is a mind-blowing experience.  Each creature is as fascinating as the next. Certain areas inside the aquarium are built with such huge glass walls and floorings that you will feel inside the ocean itself. There is quite much to walk inside so in case of being differently able or old age you can opt for a wheelchair as well.  This will surely become an unforgettable experience in life

Adventure Cove Water Park on the other hand is an aquatic park with multiple rides and pools. Includes Water Slides, some thrilling splash washouts, pipeline slides, and other fun activities for kids. Also, you can enjoy Snorkeling among reefs and fish of four different species.

Apart from all this, there are some very good ocean restaurants and gift shops that you can explore. In case you are planning to cover both SEA Aquarium and Adventure Cove water park in one day I suggest you start your day a bit early so you can cover everything. Due to COVID, there might be some changes in their operational hours/ days which you can check based on your dates of travel.

Sentosa Island

Sentosa Island is a major attraction of Singapore both Universal Studio and SEA Aquarium are situated on Sentosa Island itself. This island is connected to the city by road as well as by cable car. It is highly suggested to take a cable car as it would be one of the most wonderful experiences, you will get an entire aerial view of Sentosa Island and the Singapore skyline. To completely explore Sentosa Island you should keep a good 2 to 3 days.

Singapore cable car: It has 3 three main stations, namely Mount Faber Station at the peak of Mount Faber, the HarbourFront Station at HarbourFront, and the Sentosa Station at Imbiah Sentosa. The cable car is connected Sky network so you can opt for a scenic experience. While selecting a ticket you can go for a cable car sky pass, it’s a value add as it will allow you to travel on both Mount Faber Line and Santosa Line.

You can use this link to explore more about cable cars.

5. Merlion

Merlion Park is Singapore’s major attraction located in the Downtown Core district of Singapore. The Merlion statue is a lion’s head with the body of a fish that is commonly used as a symbol of Singapore. Two Merlion statues are located in this park one is Father Melion another is Cub. Both Tall & Cub Merlion structure spouts water from its mouth.

This is another place where you can visit at night rather than day, It’s very peaceful and calm at night also you will get to see lighted version of Marina Bay. (Image Below). During the day you will find this place crowded with lots of people clicking pictures. There are multiple eating places here so you can spend a good amount of time.
